Pupils may bring a packed lunch if they prefer. All pupils are able to sit with their peers, regardless of whether they have a school or packed lunch.
A few children choose to go home at lunch time. We do however need written consent from a parent for this.
Allergies
People with food allergies have to be extremely careful about what they eat. Food labelling is therefore very important to those with food allergies as there can be potentially serious consequences from eating food that they are allergic to. The new European food laws require us to be alerted to any of the 14 allergens in the food we prepare which can cause a problem, and allow our customers to be aware of them. If your child has an allergy to any food we would appreciate if they would ask for a form to complete to inform us of this. They can pick up a form from the office or email firstadmin@bellinghampartnership.uk. Even if your child usually has packed lunches we would still like this to be completed to cover any eventuality. A list of the 14 allergens is shown below. If your child is allergic to any of these, or any other food, we would appreciate it if we could be made aware of this.
Cereals containing gluten Peanuts Nuts Milk Soya
Mustard Lupin Eggs Fish Crustaceans
Molluscs Sesame seeds Celery Sulphur dioxide
